Unified IT Transformation at Dobloug Gruppen
From fragmented infrastructure to efficient administration and control
The Dobloug Group faced intricate IT challenges following numerous acquisitions of various companies into a single group. To ensure comprehensive oversight and centralised control, extensive restructuring of their IT infrastructure became imperative.
The challenge:
Dobloug Gruppen encountered a major hurdle due to the diversity of IT setups inherited from their acquired subsidiaries. While some subsidiaries boasted robust IT systems and structured operations, others fell significantly below standards.
Among these companies, a couple already had operational agreements with Arribatec, while others had different IT providers. This disparity led to inefficiencies, uncertainties, and increased risks associated with security and maintenance.
Our approach:
The company has now signed a new contract with Arribatec, unifying all subsidiaries under a single umbrella. This consolidation aimed to optimise licensing and platform costs while providing more effective control over the IT requirements of each company.
Viljar Willassen, Business Development Manager at Arribatec, explained, “To tackle these challenges effectively, we orchestrated a collective overhaul for the Dobloug Group. We conducted a comprehensive review of their existing IT infrastructure, pinpointed areas requiring improvement, and formulated a plan for continual license optimisation to contain costs.”
The Outcome:
One of the most impactful changes involved automating processes related to users’ computers. Implementing automated procedures, such as using Microsoft Intune, now allows Dobloug to customise each employee’s IT experience based on their roles and needs without manual intervention for each user. This transition from individualised solutions to a more centralised approach has reduced risks and significantly bolstered IT security.
"This has been a game-changer for us and we are very pleased with the support from Arribatec."
The transformation from fragmented infrastructure to efficient administration and control marked a pivotal shift for Dobloug Gruppen’s complex IT challenges post-acquisitions, solidifying their new operational agreement with Arribatec to ensure comprehensive oversight and centralised control.
Tormod, the IT and Administration Manager at Dobloug Gruppen, expressed, “This has been a game-changer for us, and we greatly appreciate the support from Arribatec.”
Dobloug Gruppen, established in 2019, consolidated companies under Dobloug Entreprenør Holding AS into a unified entity. Subsidiaries under Dobloug Gruppen include Dobloug Entreprenør, Th. Johansen & Sønner AS, Dobloug Eiendom, and DG Energi.
