Arribatec Hospitality signs a pilot project with Flytoget
Through a pilot project with Flytoget, Arribatec Hospitality has taken on the task of transforming and simplifying the customer experience for Flytoget’s customers with new and modern ticket machines. The aim is to jointly find the optimal solution where travelers can get digital tickets without having to download an app or register online, thereby simplifying user-friendliness for travelers and reducing maintenance for Flytoget.
Primarily, Arribatec Hospitality supplies digital solutions to the hotel industry, including self-service kiosks for check-in and check-out and systems for conference rooms and guest communication. With self-service options, these solutions create value by freeing up time for employees and improving the overall customer experience. Their customer portfolio includes, among other things, large chains such as Best Western to smaller individual hotels such as Birkebeineren Hotel.
Innovative solution for ticket purchases in machines
— We started looking into changing our ticket vending machines and found Arribatec Hospitality very intriguing. They have modern and forward-thinking solutions that we wish to test out in our field. We have partnered with Arribatec Hospitality to find smart, innovative solutions for ticket purchasing and receipts at the ticket vending machines, says Heidi L. Hansen, Distribution Manager at Flytoget AS.
The pilot project is already underway and the first kiosks will be set up at Oslo Central Station in the autumn. With high traffic and many travelers, Oslo S is a favorable place to launch the project and test the solution before it eventually goes out to all Flytoget stops.
Scalable kiosks
For Flytoget, it is important to have a scalable solution that can be quickly adapted to new hardware and software as needs, products and services change. With the new “plug & play” kiosks from Arribatec Hospitality, any space can become a point of sale, which opens up great flexibility and adaptability, and will make Flytoget well equipped for the future.
– Flytoget already has one of the world’s best ticket machine solutions. The fact that they came to us is a huge confidence boost and tells us that our current solutions in hotels have set the standard in terms of user-friendliness, says Bendik Kristiansen, Head of Design at Arribatec Hospitality.
— The purpose of this pilot is to develop, what we think will be the next generation of ticket vending machines. Our goal is to find a solution for travelers that wish to purchase their ticket at the train station, without having to download an app or registrer online. While also be given the opportunity to travel with digital tickets, says Heidi.
“We want forward-leaning and outside-the-box thinkers to partner with, and we have found that with Arribatec Hospitality .”
